Geology and Geotechnical Engineering

SIG's team also brings years of experience and graduate level education in civil and geotechnical engineering. SIG specializes in seismic aspects of geology and and geotechnical engineering, such as seismically-induced landslide modeling.

Geomorphologic Terrain Analysis

This series of tools can help land managers determine the sensitivity of wetland and riparian resources based on the soils and geology of the watershed. These tools are particularly helpful for assessing impacts in major development projects.

Seismic Slope Stability GIS

This product is a fully automated model that quantitatively assesses landsliding potential after earthquake events on a regional scale. The model predicts landslide displacements in unstable ground for a given design earthquake.
